Small spreading-hispid annual. Stems 5-10 cm, slender, flexuous, dichotomously branched from base, often ± adpressed to rocks. Leaves ovate-obtuse, attenuate at base, obsoletely 2-5 repand-dentate or entire, uppermost very small, elliptic, acute, almost 1-dentate. Flowers erect, terminal, shortly pedicellate. Calyx lobes lanceolate, acute, 4-5 x 0.5-1 mm, 4x longer than tube, erect, ± accrescent, and convergent in fruit, spreading-hispid outside. Style included. Capsule shortly obconical, erect or slightly nodding, opening by 3 basal valves. Seeds small, 0.4-0.5 x 0.2 mm, ellipsoid, light brown, shiny. 2n=16 Fl. 4-6.
