Saxatile, caespitose perennial, hispid-hirsute.Sterile rosettes absent. Stems numerous, prostrate, 10-19 cm long, branched above. Basal leaves broadly ovate-cordate, 17-18 x 20-22 mm, crenate-serrate, sometimes bicrenate; petiole 52-65 mm. Middle cauline leaves ovate-cordate or ovate, 15-19 x 15-19 mm, base sometimes truncate, petiolate. Upper cauline leaves ovate, to 11 x 13mm, crenate, truncate or cuneate at base, petiolate or subsessile. Inflorescense paniculate or racemose, 4-9-flowered, terminal flower opening first. Pedicels to 17 mm. Calyx lobes narrowly triangular-lanceolate, 4-7 x 2-2.5 mm, erect, acute. Appendages narrowly triangular, c 3.5 mm. Corolla violet-blue, cylindrical-infundibular, 18-22 mm, hirsute outside, split to 1/4 into triangular-ovate, acute lobes. Filaments ovate, 1.8 mm; anthers 6.5mm. Receptacle glabrous. Style included in corolla tube, shortly 3-lobed. Capsule dehiscing by 3 basal valves. Seeds unknown. Fl. 7. Steep rocky slopes, 950-1000m
