Straggly, retrorse-setulose annual. Stems ascending or scandent, laxly paniculate, branched from base, 30-70 cm, retrorse-setulose on acute angles, branches flexuous, glabrous in upper part. Leaves retrorse-setulose on nerves and margin; lower obovate, 15 x 7 mm, shortly petiolate, obtusely crenate; upper lanceolate, acute, 10-20 x 5-10 mm, sessile. Flowers on long pedicels, erect. Calyx lobes lanceolate, acute, longer than glabrous long-obconical ovary, 10-20 mm, erect, patent to recurved during and after anthesis. Corolla infundibular, 10-15 mm, divided to ½ into broadly lanceolate, ± mucronate lobes, glabrous, violet-blue. Style included; stigma 3. Capsule glabrous, long-obconical; furrowed, opening by 3 ± apical pores. Seeds ellipsoid, 0.6x0.3 mm, brown-shiny. Fl. 5-6. Fields, hedges, s.l.-2000 m.
