Procumbent perennial with very short woody caudices. Flowering stems 10-30 cm, glabrous or minutely puberulent. Leaves coriaceous, reticulate-wrinkled; lower simple or pinnatisect, terminal segment broadly elliptic to obovate, serrate or crenate; upper pinnatisect or sometimes elliptic; both puberulent to pubescent. Capitula 0,5-1 cm diam., radiant; flowers white or mauve. Involucral bracts broadly ovate, obtuse, puberulent; receptacular bracts oblong-spathulate, acute, puberulent, ciliate; both straw-coloured or purplish. Involucel sparsely pilose, with 4 long and 4 short apical teeth. Fl. 7-8. Alt. 1700-2200 m.
