Perennial with shining glabrous stems. Leaves glabrous; lower pinnatisect with lanceolate, serrate lobes; upper 1-2-pinnatisect, with linear segments. Capitula c. 2.5 cm diam., subradiant; flowers yellow. Involucral bracts broadly ovate, obtuse or subacuminate; receptacular bracts ovate-oblong, attenuate-cuspidate, puberulent, dark at apex. Involucel villous, with 4 long and 4 short apical teeth. Calyx cupuliform, denticulate.
