Perennial with horizontal rhizomes. Stems erect, scapiform, 6-20 cm, long pilose. Leaves all near the base of the stem, lanceolate to narrowly elliptic to oblanceolate, many-nerved, pilose. Inflorescence condensed, few-flowered. Bracts with broad scarious margins. Sepals lanceolate, 7-10 mm, with scarious margins, pilose. Petals 17-22mm white. Capsule coriaceous, exserted from the calyx.
Endemic and morphologically isolated within the genus.
