Perennial 8-35 cm. Leaves 1-4,5 x 1-1,7 mm, linear, long-acuminate. Flowers solitary or often 2-3 together, pedicels more than 5 mm. Bracteoles 6, 1/3 –1/2 the calyx length, narrowly ovate, apiculate, margin membranous. Calyx 8,5-11 x 2-3,5 mm, contracted above; teeth 2 mm, acute or obtuse, often mucronate. Petal limb 2,5-3,5 mm, narrowly linear to linear-oblong, white, ebarbulate, subentire to dentate. Fl. 6-7. Rocky places, rough pastures, cornfields, scrub, macchie, 500-2200 m.
