Slender perennial, 3.5-15 cm. Leaves 5-14 x 0,3-1,3 mm, linear, narrowed from the base to an acute apex, 3-nerved, margins thick. Inflorescence subcapitate or some shoots with only 1-2 flowers. Bracteoles 4-6, ½ the calyx length to equalling the tube, ovate, aristate, broadly membranous. Calyx 6-9 x 1,5-2 mm, widest in the lower half, teeth 2-3 mm, lanceolate, obtuse to apiculate, margin scarious. Petal limb pink, 2-4 mm, ebarbulate, ovate, crenulate-dentate. Fl. 6-8. Steppe, stony places, 1700-1800 m.
