Perennial with woody rhizome, cushion-shaped, glabrous or glandular-pubescent above, stems 3-8 cm, numerous, 3-8-flowered. Leaves linear, triquetrous, glabrous, fleshy, acute, finely scabrid at margins, 5-20 x 0.5-1 mm. Bracts lanceolate, green with scarious margins. Pedicels 2-5 mm, glabrous or glandular-hairy. Calyx campanulate, 3.5-4.5 mm, glabrous or glandular-hairy, teeth ovate, obtuse, apiculate. Petals pink, 5-8mm, obovate-cuneate, emarginate. Fl. 7-8. Rock crevices, 1700-2500 m.
