Caespitose glabrous perennial, stems numerous, 5-10 cm, 2-7-flowered. Leaves linear, rigid, acute, subspiny, ciliate below, 5-10 x 0,6-1 mm, mostly congested at base. Bracts lanceolate-triangular, green, finely ciliate at margins. Pedicels 5-13 mm. Calyx campanulate-turbinate, 3-3,5 mm, teeth ovate, subobtuse, ciliate. Petals pink with darker veins, 4-6 mm, linear-cuneate, obtuse to retuse. FI. 7. Subalpine pastures, c. 1700 m.
