Annual, 10-30 cm, glandular-hairy below, viscous above, dichotomously branehed from base. Leaves fleshy, linear, 10-40 x 1-3 mm, obtuse to apiculate. Inflorescence globose, many-flowered. Bracts triangular, scarious, mostly glabrous. Pedicels capillary, 3-12 mm, ± viscous. Calyx glabrous, broadly campanulate, 1,5-2 mm, teeth broad-ovate, obtuse. Petals white, oblanceolate, obtuse, 2-3,5 mm. Seeds sharply echinate. FI. 5-7. Gypsum hills, 600-700 m.
Endemic; Ir.-Tur. element. Very close to G. heteropoda, but with sharply echinate seeds.
