Cushion-fonning perennial with woody rhizome; young shoots many-flowered, rigid. Leaves 2-3.5 x 0.5-0.75 mm, linear, fleshy, without nerves and obtusely carinate beneath, obtuse or acute at apex. Leaves on flowering stems similar, but narrower and shorter, acute. Flowering stems 2-3 cm, 2-4-flowered. Calyx 2.5-3 mm, shortly tubular; teeth obtuse, scarious-margined. Petals white to pink with reddish veins outside, oblong, subentire or emarginate. Stamens exserted. Fl. 8. Limestone cliff, 1300-2500 m.
