Dense mat- to turf-forming perennial comprising numerous vegetative rosettes, often a few extending into spreading leafy stolons, and a few flowering stems, 0.5-5 cm, glabrous below, arising from below the rosettes. Leaves 8-15 mm, very narrowly triangular, long-acute, flat, rather stiff; leaf base 1-1.5 mm broad, glabrous or long-ciliate, 5-veined. Inflorescence densely glandular-pubescent, 1-3-flowered. Sepals 2,5-4 mm, linear-lanceolate, obtuse, obscurely-veined. Petals linear-oblancolate, up to 1.5 x longer than the sepals. Staminal glands 5, deeply emarginate, almost bifid. Fl. 6-8. Mountain pastures, 2000-3600 m.
