Tufted to cushion-forming suffrutescent perennial, 5-25 cm. Stems aften angled. Leaves 5-15 mm, lanceolate to linear-lanceolate , acute, glabrous to densely glandular-puberulent, ± equaly 5-9-veined. Inflorescence 1-6-flowered; bracts ovate with a broad membranous margin. Calyx ± truncate at the base; sepals 6-12 mm, ovate-Ianceolate to lanceolate, acute with 7-15 ± parallel veins. Petals ovate-elliptic to lanceolate, 1/2 as long as to almost as long as sepals, sometimes with a claw up to 0,5 mm. Capsule ½-3/4 as long as calyx.
