Procumbent, caespitose herb, woody at the base. Adventitious roots often absent. Leaves 3-4 x 1·5 mm, obovate to oblanceolate, subobtuse, pubescent to puberulent. Stipules lanceolate, usually shorter than leaves. Glomerules 8-15 mm diam., terminal, profuse and densely crowded. Bracts obliquely ovate to oblong, acute, concealing flowers. Flowers 2,5-3 mm, adpressed-pubescent to puberulent. Sepals ± equal, narrowly ovate-Ianceolate, acute and enclosing the fruit. Fl. 5-7. Rocky limestone slopes.
