Bushy, ± ascending herb. Leaves brownish green, up to 12 x 2 mm, narrowly oblong, with thickened and ciliate margins. Glomerules 5-10 mm, densely congested. Bracts oblong-Ianceolate, concealing the flowers. Flowers 2,25-2,5 mm. Sepals coriaceous, very hairy on the back; awns 0,5 mm. Membranous part of the sepals slightly narrower than the green median band. FI. 6.
