Glabrous, glaucous perennial. Stems up to 100 cm, ± erect, viscid above. Basal leaves small, soon withering. Median cauline leaves about as broad as long or a little longer, orbicular, cordate-amplexicaul at the base, mucronate, fleshy, more than 10 mm broad. Inflorescence a lax panicle. Calyx 23-42 mm. Petals whitish, livid or greenish, the limb bipartite into obovate or oblong-obovate lobes. Anthophore 7-17 mm. Capsule 16-21 x 6-8 mm, slightly exserted. Fl. 5-7. Slopes, hillsides, screes, 850-3100 m.
