Diffusely branched annual. Stems decumbent to ascending, puberulent to whitish-pilose. Lower leaves ovate-spathulate, petiolate, upper leaves obovate to linear, puberulent to nearly glabrous. Inflorescence a monochasium. Calyx 10-18 mm, adpressed puberulent, slightly inflated in fruit. Petal pink or whitish, the limb deeply bipartite. Antrophore 5-8 mm, hairy. Capsule included in the calyx. FI. 3-6. Banks, fields, rocky slopes, dunes, s.l.-800 m.
