Caespitose perennial. Stems erect, slender, 25-35 cm, with an indumentum of short, spreading hairs. Lower leaves rosulate, oblanceolate-spathulate, canescent sericeous; cauline leaves narrowly oblanceolate to very narrowly elliptic. distant. lnflorescence a dichasium, the main axis terminating in a flower. Calyx 11.5-15 mm, with an indumentum of short glandular hairs, 10-nerved, the teeth broadly triangular. Petals bifid. Anthophore 2.5-3.5 mm. Capsule oblong, 8-9.5 mm. Fl. 5-7. Rocky places, 600-1700 m.
