Erect perennial, 30-90 cm, very shortly and retrorsely puberulous below, glabrous and often viscid above. Basal leaves linear to oblanceolate; cauline leaves similar or narrowly elliptic, sometimes with sterile shoots in their axils. Inflorescence paniculate, lax and few-flowered. Pedicels puberulous. Calyx 8-11 mm, glabrous or with short, sparse indumentum. Petals whitish to greenish, deeply bifid. Anthophore 2-3.5 mm. Capsules ± exserted. Fl. 6-7. Slopes, rocky or open places, 1300-3200 m.
