Corm 3-6 x 2.5-4 cm, ovoid; outer tunics dark blackish-brown, inner reddish-brown, papery to subcoriaceous, apex produced into a persistent neck to 9 cm. Leaves 3-6, hysteranthous, erecto-patent, ligulate, 12-20 x 1.5-4 cm, obtuse to subacute, glabrous . Flowers 2-6, narrowly funnel-shaped to stellate. Perianth segments white to pale purplish-pink, narrowly oblong-Ianceolate, 2.8-4.5 cm x 4-11 mm, obtuse to subacute, glabrous. Filaments 1.5-2 cm, glabrous; anthers yellow, 6-7 mm x 0.8-1 mm, with membranous longitudinal margins; pollen yellow. Styles erect or slightly curved at apex, stigmas punctiform or obliquely decurrent for 0.5 mm. Capsule ellipsoid, 1.5-3 x 1-1.5 cm, light brown, glabrous, rostrate. Fl. 9-11.
