Caudex present; scapes 10-25 cm, lateral. Leaves oblanceolate, acute, attenuate below into a petiole, 15-50 mm , cartilaginous, glaucous, margin erose or papillate, glabrous. Inflorescence a narrow thyrsoid raceme , 35-150-flowered, glabrous. Flowers purplish, urceolate; pedicels 3-12 mm; calyx 3-4 mm, divided almost to the base; corolla 5-6 mm, lobes about as long as tube; scales erect, linear. Follicles 3,5-4,5 mm, glabrous; styles c. 0,2 mm; seeds oblong. Fl. 5-6. Cliffs, limestone rocks, 20-720 m.
