Small ascending glabrous perennial, 5-10 cm, with creeping stems rooting at the nodes and perennating sterile rosettes. Leaves linear-terete, c. 6 mm, blunt, sessile, green with reddish tips, glabrous, alternate, imbricate. Inflorescence a dense 10-20-flowered corymb 1-2 cm wide. Flowers 5-merous, pedicellate; sepals c. 2 mm, acute; petals white with red mid-vein, c. 3 mm; stamens 10; follicles glabrous, erect. Fl. 6-7. Damp mossy places on mountains, etc.
