Ascending glaucous perennial; stems woody at the base; flowering stems 25-60 cm. Leaves oblong to narrowly ellipsoidal, 15-20 mm long, 3-4 mm wide, semiterete, glabrous, alternate and dense on sterile shoots. Inflorescence a dense many-flowered cyme, subglobose and erect in bud. Flowers 5-merous, subsessile or shortly pedicellate; sepals 3-4 mm; petals 6-7 mm, greenish-white or pale yellow, patent; follicles glabrous, erect. Fl. 5-6. Limestone cliffs, etc., s.l.-635 m.
