Small dioecious tree, with a broad crown. Leaves lanceolate, acuminate, 11-23 x 3-4 mm, with 2 broad stomatal bands above. Cone 20-25 mm in diameter, ovoid to subglobose, prominently crested, brown to black, pruinose. Seeds 3, small, united to form a large stone. Rocky slopes inforests or scrub, 1000-1550 m.
