Close to P. setiferum, differing in narrower, dull green, coriaceous frond, persistent throughout winter, ultimate pinnules decurrent on the axes of the pinnae, without a distinct stalk, the basal angle of the pinnules acute, spores coarsely tuberculate. Spores ripe 6-9. In forests, s.l.-1500 m.
