Erect shrub to 4 m; stems white, sparsely pubescent. Leaves usually in whorls of 4, 3,2-7 x 0,4-0,8 mm. Panicles raceme-like, on very short lateral shoots, 1-5-flowered; pedicels c. 9 mm, slender, glabrous; bracts and bracteoles c. 0,7 mm. Sepals c. 1,3 mm; corolla white or pink, campanulate, c. 3,3 x 3 mm, glabrous, lobes c. 1,3 mm. Stamens 8; filaments c. 3,6 mm, appendages absent; anthers c. 0,9 mm, dehiscing by elongate terminal pores. Ovary 4-locular, glabrous; style impressed, c. 3,7 mm. Fl. 7-11. Open places, macchie, under Pinus brutia, limestone, serpentine and schistose rocks, s.l.-1530 m.
