Glabrous perennial. Stem ansirig from a tuberous, ovate-globose stock, densely leafy. Cauline leaves sessile, broadly cordate-amplexicaul, lanceolate, serrulate. Inflorescence subumbellate, rays and raylets 5-8, short, bifid. Ray-leaves abbreviated, oblong-triangular; raylet-leaves truncate at base, semiorbicular to reniform, broader than long, lower ones 4-7 x 8-10 mm, very obtuse. Cyathia hemispherical-turbinate, c. 1,5 x 2 mm, with broad, short, transversely ovate lobes. Fruit shortly stipitate, subspherical, with hemispherical-conical warts; caruncle ovate-triangular. Fl. 4-6. Rocky places, mines, Pinus nigra and Abies cilicica forest. 1000-1450 m.
