Glabrous rhizomatous perennial with several stems to 50 cm arising from main crown; axillary shoots numerous; densely leafy. Cauline leaves linear, 20-40 x 0.5-3 mm, subacute or obtuse, entire. Ray-leaves linear-oblong to oblong. Raylet-leaves rhombic, deltoid, reniform, transversely ovate or suborbicular, 3-11 x 4-11 mm, apex ± obtuse, base rounded, cuneate or truncate. Rays 9-18, once or twice dichotomous; axillary rays 0-2. Glands short-horned. Fruit trilobate, 3.5 mm diam., granulate. Seeds ovoid, 1.75 mm, smooth, ± shiny, grey, caruncle conical, hemispherical.
