Sparingly pilose perennial herb to 60 cm, Stems unbranched, scaly at base. Cauline leaves elliptic-oblong, 2-5 x 0.7-1.7 cm, obtuse or subacute, minutely serrulate, Raylet-leaves rhombic-ovate to ovate-deltoid, 0.7-1.3 x 0.8-1.3 cm, yellowish when young. Rays 5, usually trichotomous then dichotomous; axillary rays 0-1. Fruit 3 mm diam., sparingly verrucose. Seeds 2 mm, brown, reticulate-rugulose, Fl. 4-6. Rocky gorges, c. 1500 m.
