Glabrous perennial. Stems several, to 70 cm, arising from a stock. Cauline leaves oblanceolate, linear or elliptic-lanceolate, 5-25 x 2-7 mm, acute, obtuse, retuse or tricuspidate, entire, minutely serrulate or sparingly dentate. Ray-leaves lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate. Raylet-leaves ovate-rhombic, sometimes obliquely so, ovate-deltoid or reniform, 5-15 x 5-12 mm, acute or obtuse, cuneate or truncate, subentire, serrulate or dentate. Rays 3-5, to 5 times dichotomous; axillary rays 0-5. Glands long-horned. Fruit strongly trilobate, 4 mm diam., smooth. Seeds ± ovoid, obliquely truncate, 2.5 mm, smooth, pale grey, caruncle prominent, boat-shaped, 1.5 mm. Fl. 3-5. Rocky limestone slopes, sandy beaches and dunes, roadsides, s.l.-100m.
