Dwarf cushion-forming shrub, 10-20 cm. Leaf rachis spiny, to 2.5 cm, straight or curved. Leaflets 2-5 mm, oblong or obovate, mucronate, densely white simple-tomentose-pilose, 4-5-paired. Stipules 5-7 mm, triangular-lanceolate, usually glabrous with a ciliate margin. Inflorescence globose, 1.5-2 cm diam., 7-15 flowered. Bracts 6-7 mm, oblong, keeled. Bracteoles 6-7 mm, resembling the calyx lobes. Calyx 9-11 mm, lobes divided to the base. Flowers pale pink; standard 14-17 mm. Style glabrous. FI. 6-7. Fine scree slopes, etc., 1200-2200 m.
