Acaulescent, Leaves 5-15 cm; leaflets 8-15 pairs, 5-12 x 2-4 mm, lanceolate or oblong-elliptic, sparsely adpressed-hairy beneath, sparsely hairy to glabrous above. Peduncles 2/3 as long as leaves; racemes ovoid, with many flowers. Calyx 7-10 mm, with short, erect to spreading hairs, teeth c. 1/6 as long as tube. Corolla violet; standard 15-29 mm. Legumes 10-25 mm, globose to ovoid, membranous, strongly inflated, glabrous. Fl. & Fr. 5-6. Steppe, 650-850 m.
