Erect scapose or shortly caulescent perennial with branched woody caudex. Leaves 10-16 cm; leaflets 4-10 mm, ovate to broadly elliptic with a retuse apex, adpressed simple-canescent, 25-30-paired; stipules 10-12 mm, joined for most of their length. Peduncles 8-16 cm. Inflorescence an ovoid, 10-25-flowered spike. Bracts c. 4 mm, lanceolate. Calyx 10-12 mm, tubular, spreading-hairy; teeth 2-4 mm, linear. Corolla pale pink or mauve; standard 16-20 mm. Legume c. 18 mm, sparsely villous inflated; beak c. 2 mm. Fl. 5-6. Quercus macchie, mountain steppe, rock crevices, 900-2530 m.
