Dwarf, procumbent, scapose perennial herb, with a woody base. Leaves 7-10 cm; leaflets 5-8 mm, obovate to orbicular, sparsely adpressed bifurcate-hairy below, glabrous above, glaucous, 5-8-paired; stipules 8-9 mm, lanceolate. Peduncles c. 4 cm. Inflorescence a 3-5-flowered raceme with shortly pedicellate flowers. Bracts 2-3 mm, lanceolate to oblong. Calyx 12-15 mm, tubular, glabrous or with a few scattered adpressed black or white bifurcate hairs; teeth c. 4 mm, linear. Corolla purple; standard c. 25 mm. Legume 16-21 xc. 3 mm, lanceolate, flattish, sparsely white adpressed-hairy, ±spreading; beak c.3 mm. Fl. 4-5. Ascending to 2400 m.
