Prostrate to ascending, scapose, perennial herb with a woody base. Leaves 12-17 cm; leaflets 7-22 mm. broadly elliptic, adpressed bifurcate-pilose, 6-12- paired; stipules c. 8 mm, lanceolate-acuminate. Peduncles 6-12 cm. Inflorescence a lax, cylindrical, 10-20-flowered raceme, elongating considerably in fruit; flowers shortly pedicellate. Bracts 2-3 mm, linear. Calyx 8-13 mm, tubular, predominantly short black bifurcate-hairy but with a few longer white bifurcate hairs; teeth 0,5-5 mm, triangular to linear. Corolla mauvish-pink; standard 15-20 mm, attenuate or not above. Legume 9-12 xc. 4 mm, ovoid to pyriform, densely short white adpressed bifurcate-hairy, pendulous; beak c.2 mm, terminal, straight. Fl. 6-7. Oak scrub, steppe, etc., 310-1500 m.

The species is endemic to Turkey, and belongs to the Irano-Turanian element.
