Dwarf, scapose, perennial herb with a branched, woody caudex. Leaves 3-9 cm; leaflets 5-9 mm, narrowly elliptic, densely white adpressed bifurcate-pilose, 12-18-paired; stipules c. 7 mm, ovate-lanceolate, adnate to the petioles. Peduncles 5-14 cm. Inflorescence c. 2-3 cm diam., a dense, globose, 15-35-flowered spike. Bracts c. 7 mm, lanceolate. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 6-8 mm, campanulate, long white simple-villous with short black adpressed bifurcate hairs; teeth c. 3 mm, linear. Corolla pale yellow; standard 16-18 mm, lamina oblong. Legume c. 7 x 3 mm, ovoid, long white simple-strigillose with short black adpressed bifurcate hairs; beak c. 3 mm, strongly curved. Fl. 6-7. Mountainous regions, 1990-2750 m.
