Dwarf cushion-forming shrub, 10-15 cm. Leaf rachis spiny, 1,5-3,5 cm, straight. Leaflets 5-6 mm, oblong to widely ovate, densely white-tomentellous, spine-tipped, 4-8-paired. Stipules c. 6 mm, triangular-ovate, tomentose. Flowers sessile, 3-4 per leaf axil. Inflorescence globose, 1-2 cm wide, 15-40-flowered. Bracts c. 6 mm, lanceolate to oblong, pilose in the upper half. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 7-8 mm, densely white-villous; lobes divided to the base, incurved at the apex. Flowers pink; standard 10-12 mm. Fl. 7-8. Alt. 500-1000 m.
