Erect annual with glabrous stems up to 25 cm. Leaves 4-6 cm; leaflets oblong or obovate, glabrous, 4-7-paired; stipules 2-5 mm, triangular-lanceolate. Flowers in lax 3-4-flowered racemes. Bracts 2-3 mm, linear. Calyx 3-4 mm, campanulate, black and white adpressed simple-hairy; teeth c. 1 mm. Corolla pale yellow; keel violet-tipped; standard c. 8 mm. Legumes 15-25 x 3 mm, falcate, smooth, glabrous, often black-spotted. FI. 4-5. Cornfields, etc., 800-1400 m.
