Erect, caulescent perennial; stems c. 30-60 cm, white-puberulent. Leaves 10-18 cm; leaflets 15-35 mm, ovate to narrowly elliptic, obtuse, mucronate, adpressed simple sericeo-tomentose on both surfaces; stipules 7-15 mm, triangular-lanceolate, united. Flowers pedicellate in lax, 10-20-flowered racemes. Bracts 4-10 mm, linear. Bracteoles 2-5 mm, linear. Calyx 10-13 mm, campanulate, densely black and white, ± spreading simple-pilose; teeth 3-4 mm, broadly triangular, unequal. Corolla whitish; standard 20-25 mm. Legume 40-70 x 15-25 mm, oblong, inflated, stipitate, densely white-tomentose; beak c. 5 mm. Fl. 3-6. Macchie on igneous rocks, 300-800 m.
