Dwarf shrub up to c. 10 cm. Leaf rachis spiny, 1-2,5 cm, pubescent when young, reflexed. Leaflets 3-4 mm, oblong, simple-canescent, 3-5-paired. Stipules c. 5 mm, broadly ovate-lanceolate, glabrous to hairy, ciliate, united for two thirds their length. Inflorescence globose to cylindrical, 10-15-flowered; flowers 2-3 per leaf axil. Bracts c. 5 mm, broadly spathulate, sparsely hairy. Bracteoles absent. Calyx 7-8 mm; tube c. 5 mm, usually glabrous; teeth narrowly triangular, white-pilose. Corolla pale pink; standard 12-14 mm. Fl. 6-7. Screes, steppe, 350-1550 m.
