Erect scapose perennial with a simple, woody caudex. Leaves 25-40 cm; leaflets 10-25 mm, narrowly elliptic, acute, glabrous, 10-20-paired; stipules c. 30 mm, lanceolate. Peduncles 4-6 cm. Flowers pedicellate, in contracted, c. 6-flowered racemes. Bracts c. 15 mm, lanceolate. Calyx c. 15 mm, tubular, glabrous; teeth c.3 mm, linear. Corolla yellow; standard c. 30 mm. Legume c. 9 mm, ovoid, glabrous or nearly so, beaked. Fl. 5-6.
