Astragalus vulnerariae
Astragalus vulnerariae
Civcivotu
Suffrutescent, often caespitose perennial with short stems. Leaves 3-5 cm; leaflets obovate, mucronate, both surfaces sub-sericeous with long bifurcate hairs, 5-6-paired; stipules 3-5 mm, ovate, membranous. Peduncles 1-6 cm, spreading-hairy. Flowers in 3-8-flowered spikes. Bracts 3-6 mm, ovate, membranous, white-hairy. Calyx 7-15 mm, tubular at first, becoming inflated, long simple-white-pilose; teeth 3-4 mm, triangular. Corolla yellow; standard 15-20 mm, hairy. Legume included in calyx, oblong, acute, mucronate, densely hairy. Fl. 5-7. Forest, steppe, scree, 750-2150 m.
Endemic. The size of leaflets, peduncles and flowers is variable, but the species cannot be satisfactorily subdivided as these characters intergrade.
