Erect shrub up to 50 cm, branches strongly ridged or angled, densely villous. Leaves 3-foliolate, petioles 24mm. Leaflets 10-30 x 3-5 mm, elliptic-oblanceolate, with dense, spreading hairs. Flowers in bractless, terminal heads of 2-4. Pedicels c 3 mm; bracteoles c. 12 mm, linear. Calyx c. 9 mm, with dense, spreading hairs, upper teeth c. ½ as long as lip, lower teeth subequal to the lip. Standard C. 20 mm, oblong-ovate, glabrous. Wings and keel subequal to the standard. Legume c. 15 mm, glabrous. Fl. 6. Hillsides in Quercus scrub, below 1000 m.
