Plant 5-20 cm, with adpressed dense greyish-white indumentum. Leaves trifoliolate, stem leaves sometimes with 5 leaflets; leaflets linear-lanceolate to elliptic, acute, 7-17 x 2-5 mm. Peduncle 2-7 cm. Flower-heads 2,5-3,5 x 2-2,5 cm, broadly ovate. Outer bracts broadly ovate to lanceolate, long acuminate, 9-10 x 3-5 mm. Calyx 12-14 mm, somewhat longer than corolla, teeth subequal. Corolla 10-12 mm, purple, petals glabrous, standard not longer than keel. FI. 6-7. Limestone rocks, igneous slopes, 900-1400 m.
Endemic; E. Medit. element. Allied to E. cappadocica.
