Erect, slender, glabrous annual, 15-40 cm. Stems not winged. Lower leaves with aristate rachis. Upper leaves with simple tendrils; leaflets 2-paired, linear, 40-90 x 1-5 mm; stipules linear-subulate, semi-sagittate. Peduncle 1-flowered, longer than the leaf rachis, long-aristate. Flowers brick-red or pink , c. 10 mm. Calyx 7-9 mm; teeth subequal, lanceolate acuminate, 1 ½ -2 x as long as tube. Legume linear-ensiform, 40-55 x 5-6.5 mm, reticulate-nerved, ± nodding. Seeds 6-8, smooth. FI. 4-5. Disturbed steppe, vineyards, fallow fields, 900-1300 m.
