Annual, 10-25 cm, densely pubescent. Stipules with few teeth at base. Leaflets small, c. 6-10 x 3-5 mm, obovate to oblong, serrate, sometimes incised. Peduncles 1-2-flowered, usually longer than petiole. Flowers 4-6 mm. Calyx teeth about as long as tube. Corolla less than 2 x calyx. Fruit flat, deeply crescentic, membranous, pubescent or glabrous, 12-20 mm diam., usually pectinate on the convex suture, shortly fimbriate-winged on the concave suture; coils ½ -1 ¼ , with a dense net of veins near marginal vein. Seeds 4-7. 2n=16. Fl. 3-5. Mainly in steppic formations, 400-1850 m.
