Perennial with prostrate-ascending stems, 10-30 cm, and an all-over adpressed subsericeous indumentum. Leaves with 2-3 pairs of small obovate leaflets, adpressed subsericeous, denser below than above; stipules connate, pilose. Peduncles 1-2 x longer than leaves. Inflorescence oblong, few-flowered. Calyx villous, 4-6 mmlong with teeth 2 x length of tube. Corolla pink with darker veins; standard 6-7 mm, glabrous or pilose; wings c. 3 mm; keel 6-7 mm. Fruit c. 8 x 5 mm with slender spines on the crest and shorter ones on disc, densely adpressed pilose. FI. 5-7. Steppe, c. 900 m.
