Annual, 5-20 cm, mainly branched from base, glandular-villous. Leaves trifoliolate, lowest and uppermost simple; leaflets obovate to oblong, cuneate, denticulate, up to 10 x 6 mm. Flowers scattered or forming a short leafy raceme. Peduncle 5-10 mm, 1-flowered, not awned, recurved at apex. Calyx campanulate, tube 1,5-2 mm, lobes 4-6,5 mm, subequal, linear-lanceolate, 3-nerved. Corolla pink to purple, 5-10 mm. Legume linear-oblong, glandular-villous, 6-12 x 3-3,5 mm, 4-16-ovulate. Seeds orbicular, 0,5-1 mm, rough-tubercled. Fl. 4-6. Stony slopes, limestone rocks, maritime sands, s.l.-750 m.
