Dwarf perennial herb, with a woody rootstock and numerous ±slender branches. Leaves with 7-10 pairs of leaflets 9-30 mm long, including a petiole shorter than rachis; stipules sheathing stem; leaflets oblong or elliptic, 1,5-3,5 x 0,5-1,5 mm, with an indumentum of spreading hairs. Scapes prostrate or ascending, 3-10 cm. Inflorescence densely capitate, 3-7-flowered. Calyx 6-7 mm, teeth shorter than the tube, with an indumentum of short adpressed hairs. Corolla violet or purple; standard 10-13 mm; wings 8-11 mm; keel 7-10 mm including a short 0,5-1,5 mm beak. Legume subsessile, oblong, with a dense indumentum of long spreading hairs. Fl. 7-8. Rocky slopes, near melting snow, 2800-3900 m.
